Highlights:

Phil Woolpert debuts on the list at an incredible .923 after two titles featuring Bill Russell and K. C. Jones and a national third place finish for the University of San Francisco.  Woolpert sets a new record by winning the first 11 tournament games he coaches.
Adolph Rupp and Kentucky go 1-1 yet again, dropping Rupp's record to .727 and tied for fourth place with Harry Combes.
Frank McGuire leads North Carolina to the title and debuts on the list at .833 in third place.  McGuire also took St. John's to the title game in 1952.
